    • Each year 4,200 more children—11.5 each day—are diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor in the U.S. #pediatricbraintumor
    • Children with cancer treated with chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy may be at increased risk for developing a second primary cancer.

Thank you for your interest in the Young Associates Board (YAB).  The YAB is a tax-exempt, non-profit affiliated organization of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago that is committed to providing hope for children with brain tumors.

Since our inception in 2000, the YAB has raised over $1,000,000 to fund critical research and treatment for children battling brain tumors through events like the annual Run for Gus 5K and the Children’s Challenge. In addition to supporting research and treatment, the YAB also provides service-oriented events and programs to support the families impacted by this deadly disease.

We encourage you to explore our site and learn more about our mission, history, upcoming events, and how you can get involved in the fight against brain tumors. We hope to hear from you or see you at a YAB event soon!
